Hotel Belvedere Park – Grindelwald / Switzerland
«We never exclude ourselves to anything, if not triviality.»
Vincenzo Sponga
— Our Cubism. The occasion was the commission by the hotel management of a work in the park. We took the architectural linearity of the building as an inspiration and it was conceptually supported with new structures made of light volumes, transparent but stable, to break – and at the same time to harmonize with them – the sweet curves of the surrounding park. The orange colour was obtained by peeling the alder branches used for the work. When peeled, this wood oxidizes, instantly receiving this persistent natural coloration.
